Excursion
On Friday, August 16, in the morning, we will explore the life of Saint Hildegard of Bingen by visiting her museum and walking in her footsteps through the town of Bingen. Then, we will embark on a boat ride on the Rhine River to the medieval castle Burg Rheinstein. You will have time to visit the castle and buy lunch in the restaurant overlooking the Rhine River.
We will take the boat back to Bingen and hop on the bus to the Benedictine Abbey “Saint Hildegard.” There, you have time to visit the Abbey Church and learn about the life of Saint Hildegard and the monastic life. You can snack in the Abbey Café, buy special Hildegard spices in the Abbey Shop, or walk through the gardens overlooking Bingen and its surroundings.
We will return to the hotel for our last dinner together. The price of the excursion is € 60 per person. Meals are not included in the price.
